Biscot Health and Wellbeing Hub

The Biscot Health and Wellbeing Hub is a collaboration between St Andrew’s Church, eQuality PCN and the Blenheim Medical Centre to provide a safe space for local area residents to engage with each other socially and to take part in community activities. They host a range of events to showcase local talent and encourage arts, creativity, and socialisation, group exercise classes, a Women’s Health Club, and regular wellbeing drop-ins for people of all religions and none. They also organise events and activities to address wider problems, such as improving the local environment, reducing inequalities, and tackling crime.

Total Wellbeing

Total Wellbeing is a partnership between Turning Point and Active Luton. They offer a variety of services to help with improving your overall health, including weight management services, exercise programmes, talking therapy for mental health, and much more.

Mind BLMK – Mental Health and Wellbeing

Mind works across the BLMK communities to support positive mental health and wellbeing. They work closely with a range of partners and offer services such as wellbeing centres and local venues to make a difference to the mental health and wellbeing of people in Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes.

CHUMS – Young People’s Mental Health

CHUMS provide support for the mental health of children and young people, as well as their families. In particular, they provide bereavement support, support for young people who have experienced trauma, baby loss support, and various therapeutic, recreational, and intervention services.

ResoLUTiONs – Drug and Alcohol Service

ResoLUTiONs is a service provided in Luton by ‘Change, Grow, Live’. They can provide tailored support for Alcohol and Drug Addictions, both for those struggling with addiction and those in recovery.

Financial services

Luton Foodbank provides free and nutritional food to those who need it, meeting a wide range of cultural backgrounds and dietary requirements. They also provide support to tackle the problems that lead to food insecurity.

Turn2Us is a national charity providing practical help to people who are struggling financially. They have a free Benefits Calculator and can help people struggling financially to access local grants and financial services.

Citizens Advice Luton provides free, independent, confidential, and impartial advice for a variety of social and financial problems you may be experiencing. They can provide advice for benefits, debt, and right to remain in the UK, among other services.

LGBTQ+

Pride in Luton is the leading LGBTIQ+ charity in Luton and the surrounding areas, hosting support groups, social groups and family friendly events including the annual Pride festival. They also offer support for the families of members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Cruse Bereavement Support

Cruse offer support after having lost a loved one, including a helpline service, supportive counselling, and further information about grieving and bereavement on their webpage.

Talking Elephants – Bereavement

Talking Elephants is a service offered by Neville Funerals across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. They provide counselling services to support those who have lost a loved one.

Luton Sexual Health

Luton Sexual Health can advise about all matter of sexual health issues including prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, advice on contraception, support for victims of sexual abuse, and support for those living with HIV and long-term sexual health problems. They run a confidential sexual health clinic.

Age Concern Luton is Luton’s largest charity working with older people and has been helping older people and their carers get the services they need, make their voices heard and make a contribution to their communities. They support older people at home and in social engagement.
